A Shy Flower

Wood anemone is one of our most common spring flowers. Anemone nemorosa, as it is known, belongs to the family Ranunculaceae. The generic name anemone comes from the Greek word amon meaning “from the root”. The species name nemorosa is also derived from the Greek. The word nemos means grove, which refers to its distribution in great groves. In English, Anemone nemorosa is often called Wood anemone or Wind flower. Wood anemone grows in shady and moisty soil of forests, groves and pastures.

I took this photo in Växjö somewhere in Sweden, summer 2024 with my favorite flower - Canon EOS 350D camera and a tamron macro lens. I really like the bokeh effect and the soft orange color on this flower. I think that this is one of my best flower photos. What do you think? Please post your comments if you like it or have any suggestions on improvements on this photo.

Looking lonely

Doesn't this cute little flower look a bit lonely? We call this flower Vitsippa in Swedish and the name is Anemone nemorosa in Latin. It grows quite fast during the Swedish spring. You just got a couple of weeks to capture this flower. I am not sure where i took this photo. I think that it was close to the main library in my home town.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a re post of an earlier photo. I'm improving my skills in Lightroom RAW-processing and have tried some new settings. I think the result is better. The photo is a bit sharper and not so noisy. What do you think? Please give me your comments and suggestions. I would like to become a better flower photographer =)What do you think about the two soft pink "blupps" down in the left corner? Do they add something to the photo or are they just disturbing? Removing them would make the photo a bit cleaner.

Hope you like this flower photo. I like the colors and the way the two flowers are looking at each other. The heavy purple colors matches the softer green really nicely. Please give me your best comments.

This photo is old. I don't remember very much about it buy i think that i took at my parents place. I don't know the name of the flower. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I think that it's rather good. A nice little flower. I like the soft look on the flower and how the light shines on it. It looks like a landing spot in some ways i think.

Flowers Walking

I think the photo of those flowers looks really funny. It feels like they are out on a walk looking for something. But I'm not sure if I'm satisfied with the quality of the photo. It should have been a little bit sharper. It doesn't look good on paper print. You don't reach perfection every time =) Hope for better luck next time whit my next flower.

I really like those flowers. The flowers looks like two friends longing and looking for each other. I took this photo some months ago outside of the library in my hometown, Malmö, Sweden. I had some really good help from good sunlight sipping through a tree. The lighting really makes the photographer!
Please let me know if you have any comments on how i can improve my photo skills.

Looking at the Sun

The flowers feels kind of lonely. It's looking at something, the sun. I had to go down really low on the ground to get this photo but it was worth it. Hope that you like it. Send me your comments! Is it maybe a little bit to dark? I'm not sure that i really like the colors. Well the colors are great from the beginning, but they didnt come out great on the photo, i think.

Swedish Spring Tree

I passed by this tree before taking the photo but couldn't find a good angel. But the next day i was luckier. I like the color contrasts a lot. The pink or white against the green and blue. I used a special filter on the camera to get those special colors. I have another version of this tree which i should upload. Its a lot brighter. This one is way to dark. Please have a look at Lightgate Imagery if you would like those see that version. I thinks its a loot better.

I photographed it in a very low angle with the sun almost in front of me. I had to search a lot to find a good spot. I took about 130 pictures and most of them very really nice. Two Blue Blooming

Photographed a sunny spring day in Sweden. I think the focus is very interesting. Feels like the two flowers are coming running from something green and foggy. I used a very low f value (2.8) to get this effect. It is sometimes difficult to photograph with such low values because the field of depth is so limited. But the results can be truly amazing if you manage to get the object in focus in a good way. Please contact me if you have any suggestions or if you would like to by it on print.

Flower picture photographed on my balcony. I put the flower in a bottle of water and then photographed it very close. I think its pretty sharp but still with some blue blur to make it abstract.
